The game can always be analyzed a lot of different ways if you want to go to stat sheets and particular plays. But I thought both teams played really hard and caused the other to look bad at times. Both teams caused each other's low percentage. What you got, you earned.

He played a heavy dose of minutes (30) at George Mason but he was a step and a half (slow) and really had a hard time. He felt bad about it, but that was his pride as being a competitor. We'll manage it as the season goes along, but it certainly will inhibit his rhythm a little bit and our ability to blend him in with the team.

He brings a certain confidence and charisma to the court. I've always said he gives us a little extra belief.

I asked him before the game if he could even play, and I'm surprised he played as much as he did. He wasn't his old self, but he tried.

I am very pleased how things have fallen into place. My family and I have such fond feelings for the university, the people and the athletic program. I believe this shows a commitment for continued growth for the program and validates that we are on the right path. This sort of stuff serves all of us as an opportunity to get optimistic and anxious as we look to the coming season and beyond.

I don't think the country knows how good he is. I mean this in the most complimentary way: He's not a guy who grabs the rim. He doesn't do it all with athleticism. He does it with skill and instincts and competitive fire. He's for real.

It's ironic. What you're good at can sometimes come back at you the other way.

With half of the conference season finished, it's anyone's ballgame.

We're going to be selective . And I'm not afraid to take that scholarship into the summer because we're not in dire straits. When we see the right thing to do, we'll do it.
